BOILER TYPES

What’s the best boiler for you?

The type of boiler you need depends on lots of factors, including the size of your house, the number of people who live in there, the position, and much more.

When our engineer visits we’ll carry out a survey and ask questions on how you might use the system and water. We’ll take a consultative approach to decide on the boiler and talk you though the install and disruption so you won’t have any nasty surprises.

You can then decide to pay in full or discuss our payments plans to meet your requirements.

There are two types of boiler:

Combi boilers

If you want to make the most of your space a combi might be ideal.

You won’t need separate hot and cold water tanks to run your system but if you run two or three taps at once this might reduce the flow of water you can get so we’ll advise you if this is right for you.

Benefits:

✅ No need for a hot or cold water tank and a dry loft
✅ Heats up water when you need it and only heats the water you need
✅ Hot water supplied from your cold water mains
✅ Compact sizes make combi boilers perfect for smaller properties

Conventional boiler

A conventional boiler needs a hot water tank to store the water. They take a bit longer to heat up but you can use taps simultaneously so if you have more than one bathroom this might be the boiler for you.

Benefits:

✅ Perfect for homes where a lot of hot water is needed
✅ Ideal where there are two bathrooms
✅ compatible with solar thermal
✅ a good option in areas with low water pressure
